Thrift shops are hands down one of my favorite go-to hot spots (yes, I just called it a hot spot. Judge away). Full of little golden nuggets and hidden gems, I have found many new (and not so new) treasures that I've taken home. And yesterday I might have just found one of my top finds....
I had gotten off work late and there just so happens to be a Goodwill and an OC Boutique/Keepersright off my freeway exit (side note: OC Boutique/Keepers is where Goodwill keeps there "nicer" items but is still run buy the company Goodwill), and I thought I haven't been in a while so I swung by. I walked around , my tired eyes glazed the racks and during a last look, I saw a pair of black riding boots and thought, those look brand new! So I picked them up and the mistake I made was trying them on (ladies, you know what I mean). Did I mention, they were my size. I mean c'mon. The tag read $14.99 and although I knew it was a great price for a good looking pair of new riding boots that even had a plastic tag still on the zipper and the soles had never been walked on, I was still on the fence trying to ask myself "Meagan, do you really need these?"
After standing there barefoot looking at them for forever....and everyone in Goodwill staring at me looking at them for forever, I thought these are really good quality and I wonder.... And I'm pretty sure everyone else could see the wheels turning in my head too. I whipped out my phone and Googled the brand that was stamped on the inside of the boot flap and what I found shocked me. I giggled, put my flats back on, grabbed my purse and the boots and ran to the register. The boots I was clutching onto were originally $209 and I found them brand new at theGoodwill for $14.99. so YES, I bought them!
I can't find them for you for the same steal of a deal but here's a link to them for $59.99 at a 71% savings. I am wearing them to work today and they are defenitly comfy and super cute. I would like to say thank you the generous soul that donated them to Goodwill. They will be loved and well worn!
