To say that I am behind on blogging is an understatement. First of the year, I got into a car accident and then everything just snowballed from there. before I knew it we are about to enter April! Like, what?! Is it seriously only a mere 9 months till Christmas??? OK, I'm getting a little bit ahead of myself.

So, if you didn't already know from my whiny posts and updates from late last year, I turned 30 in December. 30. I know, I had to keep repeating it to myself too. My mentors and peers tell me I'm still young and free and amazing (OK, I added that last part) but it felt like just the other day I was this nerd in band camp, buying my first car and driving my parents insane. Now I'm independent, have a career and am an adult with huge responsibilities with this little life that I have created for myself. Life is going just way too fast and I'm going to need it to slow down!

OK, back to birthday chat. My girlfriends would probably tell you that I was the most dramatic 29 year old when it came to the idea of turning 30. And I would have to agree with them. I feared it like the plague (see, told you, dramatic) I started googling "at what age do you become a cougar?" (the answer is as young as 35, if you were wondering...). Anyhow, after I was done binge eating ice cream by the pint and collecting my tears in a jar, 30 had come...and I love it!

Since my birthday is in December, I've learned to expect that everyone is way to busy because of the holidays, myself included. There's office parties, friend parties, people are out of town, you name it, the calendar is booked for everyone. I either One, celebrate late November or Two, just do multiple little things with friends. This year I decided to do the latter. I had a dinner with my friends and family on my actual blessed birthday and then about a week before, I had a private shopping party at Morning Lavender with my girlfriends in the studio.

We shopped, drank mimosas, ate pastries and did I mention that we shopped? If you know me...or don't know me for that matter, you know that I am a girly-girl and this was just the perfect way to celebrate my debut into 30! It was so much fun! A HUGE thank you to owner of Morning Lavender, Kim Le Pham, for letting us ladies come into the studio and shop, shop, shop!
