Ok, ok. This was just good timing. I was meeting my dear friend, Cynthia, for a dinner date when I found myself with about 30 minutes to spare before our meet up time. She happens to live in the previous city that I resided in so when I'm in town, I like to hit up all my old favorite spots while I can. Which just so happens to be a Goodwill (shocker, I know). Quick background, for those of you who don't already know about this fabulous secret, Goodwill's are contracted with Target to receive all of their overflow and out of season products. We are talking brand new and still in orginal in packing. From Rugs, drapery and bedding to home decor, furniture and clothing. Sure, you get your occasional broken plate and tiny loose thread but for the fraction of the price, its completely worth it.
Any who, I found myself at my old stopping ground Goodwill and I was drooling over this gorgeous 7x10 rug. It was still rolled up in original packaging. The tag was priced at $79.99 which is a steal because Target is still selling this for $149.99 online and in stores. I was hesitant but falling quickly in love. I had just posted a photo from Pinterest the night before of a bed on top of a beautiful rug so the image was fresh in my mind (damn you, Pinterest!!). I noticed two other ladies eyeballing the rug, just waiting for me to give up battle. Just then, the intercom announced "For the rest of the evening, all rugs and comforter sets are an additional 50% off" to which I yelled "Can I get a carry out!"
$39.99 later, I was not the most favorite among my fellow jelous bargainista in that store.
